fabric earrings

these are my fabric button earrings that are made from recycled fabrics. what makes a fabric recycled? well, i started making these earrings once after recovering some dining room chairs and found myself with pretty useless scraps of fabric left over. instead of throwing the scraps away, i discovered i could put them to use by making these adorable earrings!

today my earrings are made largely from donated scraps from curtains, quilts, and other crafters who make larger items. i also visit the reuse centre in edmonton every so often which is a great place to go if you are a crafter selling wares, or a crafty mom who likes to create projects for their kids!
